It is significant to note that there are things I like a bit more than others. I will hereby compile a list of these so you can see it and then send in your marriage proposals and such. Be wary, many of these things will look cool on their own but its all combined in me. This might be odd. Be warned. Seriously, be warned.
1. Doctor Who
I am honestly obsessed with this. I like to walk around in my “Trust Me, I’m The Doctor” shirt, just to see if people notice it. I pretend my electronic car key is a sonic screwdriver. I read the books, listen to the audio adventures and all episodes (Currently have covered Doctor 1,2,3, part of 4… 8,.9,10,11). So here you go. I think Daleks are awesome.
2. Ice Hockey
Oh yes, I am passionate about a game that comes pretty close to Gladiator fights in olden times. My favorite teams are: Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Eindhoven Kemphanen (I do their fansite, check it out its pretty) and Dinamo Riga. First hockey game I went to was in Riga and yes, It was very addictive. You should watch hockey, its better than football/soccer.
3. Music
Ok, I have the habit of collecting way to much cd’s and currently I’m keeping them in plastic bags. The styles range from angry hardcore to dark black metal, cheeky folkmusic to groovy drum ‘n’ bass and from feisty hiphop to weird avant-garde. A lot of stuff really, so I also write for an e-zine and a magazine in my spare time. I like to go to concerts and I enjoy any kinda company. So if you’re from around and want to go somehwere, let me know! I blend in fine with any subcultrue… although the cybergoths don’t seem to like me. Some favorite bands: Mumford & Sons, Moonsorrow, Therion, Life Of Agony, Terror, Dropkick Murphy’s, Bon Iver, I Am Kloot, Oasis, Rush… Go on…
4. Eastern Europe
I can not help myself but being increasingly interested in Eastern Europe (Yes that
includes you Baltic States). So If you are from one of these countries and you happen to be interested in boring old Netherlands, lemme know right. Since that would like be cool. Also, feel free to invite me to your house and show me your country.. oh yeaaah do so! I want to see all of Russia and I know there’s not enough time for that in one life.
5. Sports
I enjoy working out, I know its pretty stereotype gorilla stuff but I feel at ease and relaxing when I’m pumping some weights or doing some cardio. I also like walking, just take a walk and have some wind in the hair and all. Ice skating is cool too and I’m looking for a hockey team. In essence I enjoy physical excercise, though mostly the game element.
6. Reading
I read a lot, though not as much as I used to. Good books, bad books… I like science fiction and old horror. I specifically enjoyed H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe. My favorite poet would be W.B. Yeats but a bit of Dylan Tomas or Keats is never wrong either. I enjoyed the books by Ian Irvine aswell, also Tolkien but the movies kind of ruined it for me. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is one of the best books, everyone should read it.
Books on music and art are cool to, but you could discuss a lot of books with me. Michel Houllebecq, Herman Brusselmans, Oscar Wilde… I enjoyed the books by Tom Rob Smith recently. Jolly good! Ok, next!
7. TV and Movies
I have a great love for both really. I enjoyed this short list of series: Chuck, Californication, Scrubs, House MD, The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh, Blackadder, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, Gordon Ramsay things, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Archer, Mad Men, Flight Of The Conchords… Safe to say I will like similar things in the future. Moviewise the list is endless, it goes from arthouse to silly action movies. Amelie, Boondock Saints, Shawshank Redemption, Notting Hill… just some pointers.
8. Humor
Ok, I have the sad and scary habit to actually consider many things on 4chan funny. I know, its dreadfull and I can make fun about things you might feel are inapropriate. My humor is pitch, dark, sludgy black… Sorry. I think this world is friggin mental and I can not deal with it in another way. I think jokes about women are funny, but I have the utmost respect for them. So do not be alarmed and just tell me I’m out of line and I’ll be like… Ok, sorry this is how I feel about it. You know…
9. Fashion
I hate shopping for myself alone… I love shopping with someone else, for that someone else. Yes, I have no problems enjoying myself in a ladies clothing store and I will pick your dream outfit. I have a taste for sporty,rock concert stuff versus vintage look. I dig that. I like fashion anyways, I’m interested in what looks good and what not and all that.
10. Food And Drink
I try everything, really. I just dont like cheese and fungi. But specially beers, I aim to have drunk all of them atleast once. I just like cooking and flavours and new things. I’m trying to keep in shape though… I like whiskey too. Also non alcholic werid drinks like kvass, ginger ale or even that orange stuff from Scotland (Irn Bru makes you sparkle like the Twilight vampires).
